The Alexander Technique

A Technique for Life

The Alexander Technique is a unique and practical method of re-education and self-help.  So much of what we do and think is habitual - a consequence of years and years of unconscious habit. However, this can lead us into all sorts of problems - pain, tension, stress and illness, as well as robbing us of the opportunity to reach our full potential. The Alexander Technique helps us become aware of these habits and gives us the means to challenge them.   

It follows, therefore, that it can have a positive benefit for a whole range of stresses and ailments, as well enhancing performance, improving vitality and general well-being.  You can read more about the Alexander Technique and its benefits on this website.  But no amount of written commentary can really explain what the Technique is and how it works.  It has to be experienced.  That is why I encourage you to come along for a lesson and see for yourself.
